What if there was a technology that employs industrial levels of waste heat, as well as relatively small geothermal sources, to generate electricity from modular plants, in the range of 30kW – 1 MW, with system footprints that can fit comfortably in a single car garage? Now, imagine that this visionary technology requires no additional fuel and is emissions free.
What if that technology was available to you now?
Gulf Coast Green Energy has teamed up with ElectraTherm, Inc. as the exclusive distributor for ElectraTherm's cutting edge visionary design of Waste Heat Generator (WHG) technology. ElectraTherm's WHG equipment is "tried and true,"” having been used for more than two years in the working industrial environment and producing real cost saving results for industrial and commercial companies. |
These are not fragile, expensive turbine-driven systems or geothermal plants with footprints the size of a football field. The ET system is an Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) based electrical generation system, available at half the cost of turbine based systems. At the heart of our system is an expander technology which has for more than 60 years proven to be the most efficient under high loads in the compressor industry.

| Electric Conversion Efficiency |
ElectraTherm systems have conversion efficiencies of 8 to 12 percent and do not use any combustible fuel. ElectraTherm systems recycle waste heat from almost any source to generate electricity. We are:
|
Cost effective |
Fuel efficient – recycles waste heat with no combustible process involved |
Emission Free, and |
Step down geo and pipeline gas pressure
|
| Overall System Efficiency |
In reality, ElectraTherm's WHG overall system efficiency is 100 percent because the technology taps into otherwise unused waste heat streams, liquid, gas or discarded steam, and generates electricity without fuel or emissions.
|
| Expected Useful Equipment Life |
Our equipment has an expected life span of twenty-five to thirty years or more. ElectraTherm's energy conversion device is a positive displacement twin screw expander that operates like a roller bearing and does not “scuff” as it turns to drive a generator. The internal rotors may last indefinitely as they rotate between 1,500 and 5,000 rpm.
|
| Projected Market Potential |
| The all-in cost of ElectraTherm's fuel-free power provides a simple payback of one to three years depending on the value of the power produced.
Our equipment has an estimated generation cost of about $.03/kWh - $.07/kWh. Given that retail power costs to industrial users are typically more than twice this rate, there is great incentive to install WHG units in many industrial plants. Once the capital investment is returned the fuel-free power cost of generation is approximately $.005/kWh to cover operation and management. |
